Randomness

I found this at Home Goods this past weekend and I LOVE IT !! I have always loved the poster that says Keep Calm and Carry On but that is not really me but this ....this is me.
I also found 4 of these, they just say spring to me.

Beautiful weather in GA for the past 5 days and supposedly we get 4 more before the possible chance of rain. Everyone got a 4 day weekend here so Brian will be removing all the sod from around the playground, plastic sheeting it and filling it with Cypress Mulch....the yard slopes down so that area stays a wet muddy mess so hopefully this does away with all that. Found out this week we are getting a pool in our subdivision not a splash park ......I really have to wonder if these people know what they are doing????

Hopefully the great weather sticks around for awhile.

Championship????

Kael's Team made it to the championship tonight, sadly they lost but what a season. ....plus he got a trophy....which was all he cared about anyway.
We all went to the game and ended it with Sonic blasts........

Other then that and rain it has been very quiet around here......and they are calling for more rain....and cold??????????????

The new Norm

We seem to be back to a normal routine around here, somewhat. Last week we lost Brian's Grandmother Gena. He was able to fly out Saturday Morning and come back Tuesday. We are almost done with Kael's Basketball.....2 games next week and then the CHAMPIONSHIP the week after. Maddie is on week 3 of PT and now we do alot of core exercises......donkey kicks, crunches and reverse crunches. Also trying to make her ride her bike for longer periods at a time....trying to exhaust her muscles is how they described what she needs. They just celebrated the 100th day of school and the end of the second semester.

Sage is still on soy and no major problems. She is a dancing Queen and singing....she kills me. The dog we got in Dec, Cannon ( yeah I forgot to mention him for 2 months now) is as tall as Sage now and almost 20lbs so them playing is hilarious.

I need to start looking into which bowling alley on post to have Maddie's 6th Birthday ( I so wanted her to have a roller skating party but no luck ). We have to put Pavers under the fence in the back yard since Cannon is a digger .......ugh, but it is suppose to be nice this weekend so maybe it will get done. Hope everyone has a great weekend ......and you up North, I hope you thaw out soon !!!!

We started 2011 off in NC, doing my families Christmas. Poor Sage has had Diarrhea for almost 3 weeks and it was not a fun trip for her. During the few days we were there she had open sores on her butt and poor kid never got any relief. We got to the Dr on Tuesday and they sent some samples to the lab but she thought it was a Dairy Allergy so NO Dairy for a week. We got some results back No Bacteria or White Blood Cells detected so know we are just waiting on Parasite to come back. If this does not clear up after a week of no dairy we go to Cat Scan, Blood work, Etc. Sage LOVES yogurt so it has been a rough 2 days for her with no yogurt but I found some SOY yogurt at Kroger today .....they even have Soy Sour cream and Soy Cream cheese and Soy Ice cream....but since those are not staples in her diet I did not get those. .....plus the price OUCH.
Maddie had her PT Eval this week and coordination was very weak, plus fine motor skills and calf muscles are so short and tightened they did not how she was walking. We are gonna start once a week and possibly get referred for OT. The PT place is in Richmond Hills, 40 mins away, so again another reason we should have gotten a house there and not here.
Kael's Basketball team started playing games this week, 2 so far and they won both. He has really improved and while I don't think Basketball is his "thing" he did not give up and has really tried. But he stills talks about Martial Arts alot so we will see what is in our future. We are still waiting for Brian to start his "new" Job at HAAF which is a 45 min commute and yet another reason we should be in Richmond Hill and not here ( LOL). This "job" will be for a year and he starts getting ready next week......which is good because if I don't get back to a "regular" schedule soon I will lose my friggin mind. I'm a type A personality so everything must be scheduled with a beginning and a end, I "need" to know details and facts, and it must be done my way.......yes I know I am weird, but I try to control it. But between the kids being out of school, and all the traveling since Thanksgiving till now I'm almost out of control......Ha Ha Ha !!!!

I am so Happy to be giving away a copy of Faith Deployed by Jocelyn Green. I am even Happier my 4th Deployment is over but that is another story. I have never been the type of person to go to church....I am very spiritual but I have not found that church that I "click" with. I have always read daily devotionals along with the bible to be able to process the information and not be overwhelmed. I can't give out details but this deployment is almost over. I also have a Veterans Day giveaway coming up that I am very excited about. Halloween was a total bust here.......our Subdivision is fairly new ( lots of new construction ) but there are lots of people already living here so you think there would have been someone giving candy out but No .....apparently all here go on post to Trick or Treat. By the time we got on post it was already a hour into Trick or Treating and most people had already run out of candy. The kids got 5 pieces ........Kael said it was the worst Halloween ever, I have to agree. But Daddy is coming home so all will be better soon.

As far as sickness goes we seem to be on the road to a full recovery but I'll be sure to spray the house down with Lysol before Brian gets here .....LOL. Can you believe it is less then a month away from Black Friday?????? Happy Halloween Y'all

We have been MIA since Maddie came down with the "junk" which turned into Pneumonia. That passed on to me and ended me in the ER and now Sage has the "junk". They are treating Sage for Bronchitis so 10 day antibiotic for her. We are trying to stay on top of anything school related and trying to catch up on house work and yard work. Thankfully we are almost at the end of this deployment and (fingers crossed ) ready to get back to "normal". Hopefully we will get back to regularly blogging but you know me.....LOL.

What the Hell Wednesday

Back again this week with Blue Monkey Butt's What the Hell Wednesday. First was Maddie still being sick this week so I took her to the Dr on Thursday to avoid the whole ER thing, because the Base got a 4 day weekend which means EVERYTHING shuts down so all must go to ER if your sick. So the Dr said she was a little Wheezy but wants to avoid chest x ray to rule out Pneumonia because the link to Thyroid,breast,lung, etc cancer. Sends us home with Albutural and guess who flippin ends up in the ER on Saturday getting a chest Xray? Really, I understand we want to avoid all unnecessary exposure of a young girl to radiation but she has had pneumonia before which makes her likely to get it so just rule it out before you send her home to get worse and suffer more then she should....really What the Hell?

Now the ER that deserves it's own What the Hell. We were only behind 2 other patients waiting to be seen so its moving pretty good for a holiday weekend. But there is a "guy" there with his wife, toddler, infant and his mother ( why we all had to come for the infant to be seen I will never understand? ) and he is on a loud rant about the "guy" who took hostages at our Hospital about a month ago. On and on about how he was "crazy" and he would have just killed him ....blah blah ......wife is trying to be polite by telling him to lower his voice and the "guy" was not crazy just suffering and needed help. What the Hell "guy? My kids are listening to you, I do not need them knowing about a "guy" with a gun at the hospital or do I or they need to hear you call somebody that needs Mental help crazy......

Yesterday we came home and they had taken out more trees in our "Under Construction" Subdivision to put in another street......oh joy because really who needs to breathe??? Don't forget to head on over to Stacey and Elle's Blue Monkey Butt for more What the Hell Wednesday fun.

First off this week is me falling off the kids playground backwards. I was trying to be all Artsy Fartsy with my new Cannon Rebel by taking pics above the fence. Wet Grass+ sandals+metal rails+a idiot not holding onto anything= me on the ground(wet ground,no less) with right leg still 3 rails up stuck. Best part was our neighbor's kid was over playing while all this happen ( Ahem, I meant to do that ). But the camera never hit the ground ( Whew) !!

Second is all this week everyone is talking about bullying, having protests, TV shows dedicating whole hours on how to teach your kids not to be a bully and the 7 year old comes home talking about a classmate who said he would stop calling my kid names if he pays him 4 quarters. Somebody's Momma better be catching some Ellen and Dr Phil this week or this Momma will be having a meeting !!

And Last The Commissary ( Military Grocery store ) has 2 whole aisles of Halloween candy and smack dab in the middle of the aisle is a display of Advent Calenders ????????WTH ????? Can I please get thru with this Holiday and Thanksgiving before I get to countdown to Christmas ???

What the Hell Wednesday

I finally have something for What the Hell Wednesday, hosted by Blue Monkey Butt's Stacey and Elle. We have a 1 year builders warranty on our newly built home so I have to call their office to get their PR guy to get someone to fix whatever has broken that week. After everything is done the "painters" are suppose to come in and touch up the finished work. 2 of those "spots" had to be Spackled first which takes 24 hours to dry........needless to say Painters never showed back up.

PR Guy shows up today saying painters never showed but he has done this before so he will fix my "eyesore" ........he fixed it alright. First he sanded the Spackle off so much it was uneven then he painted my foyer the color of the Half bath, as you can tell in the pics of the 2 different browns. So to "fix" his mistake he calls in "sheet rock" guy who has to recover the dings and that has to dry 24 hours before it can be painted. So I am back to square one except it is more of a eyesore then my "little dings" ever were. So I ask you "What the Hell?"

Easy Creamy Chicken

I am so excited to be a part of Think Tank Momma's Share a Spoon this week !!!

6 Skinless/boneless chicken breasts
1 Can cream of Chicken soup
1/4 cup and 1 tbls Sour cream

Mix soup and sour cream together and cover the bottom of a 9x13 dish. Lay chicken in the mixture, cover with Foil and cook @ 325 for 2 hours.

This was given to my aunt in Germany Years ago and it makes the most moist chicken. Now I love the sauce so I usually add more cream and I have used Cream of mushroom. Enjoy !

First Day of DayCare

Excuses time : Busy,Busy, Sick and Busy

The Homework kills me on Monday thru Thursday, I get done and guess what its time to make dinner. After dinner clean up the kids wanna play and who can deny them ( they only get recess on certain days and that varies) Sage bath, Maddie shower,snack, make lunches, get uniforms ready, meds and bedtime routine.

This week was really bad because I am battling a cold/virus. I am already bored with dinner choices ( hard when you deal with picky eater ALL THE TIME ) These were pics from her first day. Second time she went she cried the WHOLE time.....Third time cried when I took her but she did calm down.

Random Tuesday Thoughts

This is my first Random Tuesday thoughts For Un Mom
I love her blog but usually on Tuesday I'm tired...ugh. So if you're here make sure you go over and check out the rest of the Random Thoughts Tuesday.

1) Dry erase marker will come off walls with a Mr Clean eraser fairly easy but not furniture....don't ask how I know this.

2) After 3 kids there is still room for surprises......I figured I had seen and done it all with the first 2 but Sage is giving me a run for my money.

3) Suave Coconut Shampoo repels lice.....who knew?

4) I finally watched Blindside........trying to get thru season 1 of Dexter.

5) I hate frogs.......we have tons due to living in the marshlands of GA and having ponds all thru our neighborhood......but I can let them go about their lives until they touch me.....one hid under the knob of the front door and I reached to close it .....UGH.....I hate Frogs !

Living in a construction Zone

It sucks. There is no nice way to put it. We figured by now we would at least have some houses on our side.....neighbors with kids would be nice. But ever since we moved in they have worked on all the land behind us, which we now know is gonna be another Cul De Sac road, so probably 8-10 houses on it. Its not even the house building crews that are bad its the road making, ditch digging stuff. Up there on top that is suppose to be the end of our street....nice huh?
This week Sage went to hourly daycare for 3 hours on Friday, she had a blast and was alot more cleaner then I figured she would be ( I strip her down to a Pull Up for meals ) after eating lunch. They said she followed directions well and played nice. Kael and Maddie are settling into a routine and are still doing well in their school work.

This week we are having meetings with CYS and medical staff about Kael's asthma, we have to have these every year for him to participate in activities. Getting ready for Kael's Birthday Saturday, and a teacher conference on Friday with Maddie's Teacher, I am hoping this is not gonna be a monthly thing : {

We had my Sister Mary and her 2 kids here this weekend to celebrate. Her son started riding a bike without training wheels this year so I figured he was perfect to give Kael a little confidence boost. We bought Kael a early present of a big boy bike and in a hour he could balance and keep it straight. Practice Practice Practice.
Saturday we took everyone to Chuck E Cheese where Sage threw fits since she figures she should be allowed to do everything and not have Mommy every step of the way. We played Games for 2 hours and came home to Pizza, cake and opening gifts. We are a exhausted Household.
Thursday Maddie started with Sore Throat, runny nose and cough. Saturday Kael woke up with it and Today it was Sage's turn. So Back to the grind.
Hopefully We will get back on schedule and get some stuff done....including updating this blog more often.

I am Kim former police officer turned mommy to 3 and Army wife. My blog was created to keep Hub's ( who travels alot for his job ) up to speed on the homefront....but I have been lucky to also connect with other mothers and wives.

Today was Maddie's CYS physical and the NP who saw her asked alot of questions and was very through. I was a little thrown when she said Maddie was considered overweight or "a little heavy for her age" but they are not concerned about it since it usually evens out as they grow. Also she noticed according to Maddie's sheet she has always been "a little heavy".......First I heard of this?????? Don't get me wrong .......she has issues with Low Muscle tone and was always chunky but never would I consider her overweight ......it has even been brought to our attention that she is gonna be tall probably taller then Brian and I. But what bothered me was this was all said in front of Maddie .....esp limiting our sugar intake, less juices, more activity, ETC . So at dinner Maddie is all worried about what can she drink, what can she eat.....which then causes a long boring conversation about eating healthy, playing more....blah blah......something I should not be having to do at 5 years old.....do I think she could eat healthier ? of course......do I think she could run and play more ? of course.....but its not something she should be concerned about.
But thankfully she is cleared for sports and hopefully lots of fun this Fall. Tomorrow is Kael's Physical and of course with his asthma it friggin takes forever for him to be cleared but keep your fingers crossed for us. The clinic was packed with kids getting their last minute school physicals....only 3 more days. Sage has been having a time with Eczema ......she has always had it but since we got here she has had more frequent "flare ups" so today was Vit E oil which seems to have helped.
We also finally made it to the library on post, it was very nice.....not to crowded but Sage in a place where she must be quiet and can possibly damage stuff is not good....but the kids got some books.......and my wonderful reader picks out a bunch of Where's Waldo books......I will never understand that boy????

BTW......Can't you just hear her saying "whatcha talkin about Willis?????"

Everyday View

This is where we live.....everyday its a new adventure to see what kind of progress has been made and what has changed. I honestly do not think the people out here know what they are doing. They started digging a retaining pond ....then they filled it....then they dug it again....and now its filled and it looks like they are putting in a road??? So far there are only 3 of us living on this side of the road.
This week the printer died ......it could probably be fixed but I have tried all I can and the other printer we have for photos, the ink cost as much as a new printer. So I ordered a new one....hoping I can make do without one until it arrives from Amazon. Kids did get School supplies, back packs, school uniforms and new shoes this week. Sage got her CYS Physical done and the Dr found she had a ear infection, but she is good for hopefully some fun classes??? Maddie gets her's Monday, Kael is Tuesday, Weds is open house at the school and Thursday is their 1st day.
So hopefully we will get to some sort of schedule this week..........Hopefully !!!!

The one where Mommy gets back to basics

Sorry about the same pics.....I have taken some just not on the puter yet. So today was Mow day, 100+ but that seems to be the norm this summer. So I started on the front when Sage went down for a nap, and it took probably hour but must take breaks to check on kids and get water before I DIE, so more like hour and 3o mins. By the time I finished and weed eat the front Sage is up. She pretty much rides the jeep around the back yard while I mow but with the playground she gets distracted. So while she was trying to slide down her big brother pushed her.....even though he was warned yesterday and the day before. So for the second time this week he sat at the dining room table and wrote......3 sheets of college rule...
So that is the reason for no new pics...I am physically and mentally burnt tonight. So I will be relaxing soon.....I did pull up some stuff today on Homeless/hungry kids in America to talk about with them( the greed is crazy in this house) Kael got it but Maddie not so much....I asked them last night to help me find Sage's night night binky and both wanted money to help me....UGH !! Was not a good night.....I Know they are young but this is just too much.
So Monday we go to the school and do registration.....Maddie has to take a placement test. Afterwards probably gonna hit the big city for school supplies.....Staples is doing free back packs after rebate and office depot has theirs B1G1 .....no characters this year....just basics ...Have a great Sunday.

Today was the kids school physical day, which they tell you only takes a few mins so the kids are scheduled back to back.....well of course the nurse can not find Sage's first year of shots. Sage was born in a civilian hospital and was seen by a private practice since Brian was finishing up his time at Xavier ROTC. So low and behold the records were never put in the computer, just a folder so now the poor nurse has to make us a shot record, along with trying to figure out what shots Kael and Maddie got while we were in Ohio......If you are in the military never...ever go ROTC or recruiter unless you are very close to a base.....it is a nightmare for records. See when we move from base to base it all follows nice and neat but if you have to take it off base oh my lordy. I am joking (somewhat) but since the Army was going to a computer system when we left Bragg for Ohio none of our stuff was entered like it should have but hopefully it will work itself out the years the kids are here.
So between Ohio and Kansas the kids missed some shots.....which thrilled them and me to death. The Nurse today....LOVE HER.....she copied everything for me so I would have a copy at home and was so kind to do all this. We took off to the other side of the hospital to get shots except for paperwork it was fast....Sage was pissed before we even got there, Kael had worked himself into a frenzy and was chanting over and over it's gonna hurt and Maddie who had to have the most just sat there quietly. So again I got a great nurse....she was quick, distracting and gave me personal copies of what she did.....LOVE HER, too. Finally got home for Sage to nap and she had crackers all in her seat, so I took it out to dump it....looked kinda dingy so I must wash it ....take off the cover....ewwww now I must clean whole seat...in the tub .....ewwww .....OMG U don't wanna know......now I must clean tub......all this took 2 hours....so we were late to get some dinner. And get this on the way to get something I came up with the brilliant idea to just "run" into Wal Mart for a bird feeder....hour later we finally got food. And of course the kids are hot,grumpy, and hungry all because I can not focus on (1) thing.......and then I wonder where they get it from.
Tomorrow nothing is "planned" or scheduled so I hope to get paperwork done and bills paid during the silence.......hoping to purge some rooms this week ......wish me luck

That is what it feels like here.....plus the trip to NC was no better.....they fight all the time. I am hoping it is just that they have spent too much time together and will get better since school starts soon and I can hopefully get them into some kind of rec program. Today it got so brutal Kael bit Maddie...lovely....at 10:06pm he is still sitting at the dining room table writing 100 times I will not bite Maddie.
As you can see today was the big day for our installation of the play system, see above as to why you see no pics of Kael out there...ahem. Of course Sage straddled a metal pole ( oh my I can not even imagine the pain, but I'm sure quite a few men can....LOL) but 30 mins later she was ready to go back out. We had a nice visit to NC, too short but that is our life now.
Hoping to get some grocery shopping done, post office visits, and recycle.....lots to do with us being gone 3 days. Weds is Dr appt's day for school physical's plus I'm trying to get the kids some extra stuff to do just to keep them busy for the next 2 weeks ( pray they go fast )

there is now a maple syrup without High Fructose Corn Syrup.....Log Cabin has FINALLY come out with one. My Household can go through a bottle like its water but all commercial ones contain HFCS so we have paid almost $6 for a tiny bottle of the "real" stuff. Not anymore, Thank You Log Cabin. On other news Kael lost 2 teeth this weekend, praying that's it for awhile. He woke up this morning with a rash on his face.....same spot and rash that we spent months going to derm's in Ohio about and no one ever figured out what it was or what was causing it.
Maddie and Sage have good day/bad days....we are ALL still adjusting to this deployment. Kael and Maddie Skype with him everyday so it makes it easier.
You will have to forgive me, my brain is fried ......I mowed the front yard today at 1330 ( have to do it when Sage naps ) and I am exhausted. Afterwards we had to go to the commissary and the kids actually behaved??????????????

Today was our official first day of deployment and he is very missed by all. Sage looks around but I don't think it fully hit her yet.....but OMG is she being a BRAT. Some of today's highlights were her whipping the other 2 with a glow necklace and refusing to eat her dinner....that one was fun she took her Handy Mandy cup threw it at the wall where it broke....nice huh? Now this can be due to deployment, terrible 2's or just Sage???
Today I got the Mortgage finally on automatic draft, why it had to be so difficult I will never understand??? Got all Kids their Dr's appt's and get this I have to get 6 different appt's .....One day for only School Physical's ....back to back and for CYS ( Army YMCA or Rec department ) I have to go 3 different days. But at least the School Physicals will be done before school and hopefully I can get the kids in some kind of Fall activity??
Maddie had to go to the dentist today for a cleaning and I don't think we will stick with them. 1) They only take kids 3 and older which means I would have to find Sage a different dentist( not a biggie ) 2) The place is not kid friendly....not one bit....no toys, no mags, no books, no TV, and no color......I honestly was so uncomfortable it was very cold feeling. Very Strange place. The Dr was nice but she does not know about GERD ( why Maddie has Caps on 8 teeth) and would have to refer us out to deal with crowding of the teeth. So I need to check with a wife who's hubby went with Brian because they all went to a different dentist Weds.
Speaking of teeth.....Kael lost another one tonight.....that's 2 this week ......pray for me, I hate being the tooth fairy. Well I am off to bed......so the kids will go to sleep so I can sneak in there. These are just 4 of the 12 I took trying to get a decent one.......do you see what I have to deal with??????? Today was spent trying to figure out how the medical is run here. The kids have to get school physicals done before school. Registration starts on the 19th so I need to get on the ball. I need to get all our medical records turned back in so I must locate that tomorrow. I need to figure out how to get the kids Prescriptions filled/changed over. It drives me bonkers trying to figure out each base's different system. So I have figured out what new vacuum I am gonna get. We went to Lowes tonight and got a rug for the family room floor, a Gardenia bush to hopefully conceal our A/C from the street in the future and a oven lock ( Sage can pull this one open, door is not heavy at all ). It is slowly starting to feel like a home : )
Hopefully I can get some "army" stuff handled tomorrow.....Lots more to come I'm Sure.

We have been busy. Aunt Bambi arrived Thursday and we went to the Salute to the nations on post. Friday We grilled out and tried to catch the fire works but we were too late. Saturday Aunt Bambi kept the kids while Brian and I went to the melting pot in Savannah.....yum.
We are staying busy trying to get things out away, put up and Brian has to pack to be ready to deploy anytime after Tuesday. It seems we find something everyday that has to be fixed on this house....and while they are small it is still annoying since I have to call the builder, who has to call me back, who has to call the contractor, then call me back to set up time....ugh.
Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful 4th and I'm sure once this week is over we will be back to a somewhat normal schedule.

Well Hello there Stranger

We have had no internet or phone service for 10 days......fun. We made it all the way from Mt Vernon IL to Asheville NC where there were NO HOTELS with space for us so we ate a quick dinner and got back on the road and still could not find a hotel until we got to Morganton NC....long ( cranky ) night. From Morganton we made it to Pinehurst to see Granny and made it to GA the next day.
We did the walk thru and signed away our life on Tuesday. The Movers got here Weds am and unloaded. We have worked, worked and more work but it is 90% done. Brian had to go back to work on Monday and he has not stopped, plus they are making him a walking pin cushion with all the tests/shots. We are trying to get all our bills, insurance, kids stuff changed over now that we have internet.
There are a few things left to be fixed ( paint touch ups, baseboard nailed down, little stuff) We are pretty much alone on this end of the street except for the single lady across the street but another one has sold beside her and the one next to it is almost complete.
We already had Sage at the dentist.....she hit her mouth on the slide at McDonald's and busted her lip. Well as luck would have it the skin hanging from the busted lip got caught between her 2 front teeth......can you imagine??? So we tried to floss it out but no luck. The dentist who removed it was nice enough to take us because he does not do children under 3 and after Sage I am certain he never will again, but he thinks the teeth might be loose so he said let the mouth heal and go to a dentist in a couple of weeks. Hopefully we will be back to a slightly normal blogging schedule now. Night all.

Well we are as packed as we are gonna get.....I'm sure I'll be throwing stuff around tomorrow but we can survive on what we have. Brian mowed the yard for the last time and cleaned the mower for the movers ( Military makes you remove oil/gas etc ) and also got the grill finished. He has to go in the AM for out processing and will hopefully be back by 1030 since I need to get Maddie to the dentist and make sure her teeth are not crowding. I must get up at 0600 tomorrow to be ready before the packers arrive ( y'all that know me know I am HATING that) ....hoping I can sleep in a little later Tuesday since Brian is off and can get up and come back here for the packers..... Night Night

So tomorrow I must start packing....stuff we need for 10 day hotel room stays, snacks, meds, cleaners......and I always feel I am gonna forget something and it will get packed and we will be SOL. Last time I forgot to change out the showerheads and of course they got packed and then we had to by new ones cause I was not gonna leave ours. So most of the time we throw stuff somewhere and tell them not to pack that stuff. Brian went around sanding our wall holes and filling them so he will paint them tomorrow. I pulled the girls shower curtains down today to wash them ( yes military packers will pack them wet/dirty ) and both of them fell apart....even the liner......WTH? I vow I will buy fabric this time.....ugh.
Our Realtor called to check in today......said the house was beautiful and they had even added upgraded mirrors to the Master Bath. Said everything was done but the sod, GA has had 8 days of torrential thunderstorms and its soggy and if we are not there we might get some Mole Crickets ( those sound fun???) or if it heats up before we get there and turn on sprinklers it could die. So we close on the house 16th and get to do the final walk thru with the builder on the 15th...I am so excited.
It should be a busy week with 2 days of packers, 1 day of loading the truck, day of cleaning and turning the house back over to the Realtor and graduation and get on the road. We should have internet this week at least until Friday after that I have no idea??

It just feels like it. We have been crazy.....excited.....sad....saying goodbyes, doing inventory's, cleaning out rooms to make sure a certain 6 year old boy does not carry every friggin paper with him to GA......he collects junk everywhere we go. Business cards, brochures, coupons, menus, etc. Following a certain monkey around who gets into everything. Trying to get most of the freezer stuff eaten so I at least feel like we somewhat got our money out of it all. Trying to figure out what we need to pack in the van for the almost 2 weeks we will be living out of hotels . So posting will be sporadic but I will try at least.

Tomorrow is Brian's last official day of classes.....Monday its out processing and so on and so on. Hoping to make a Costco run Saturday ....def need H2o and Gatorade for the movers on Weds cause its gonna be hot !!! Packing us on Mon and Tues.

Guess where we have been? Come on guess.....that is right ER again. Sage busted her head on dining room table and had to get it derma bonded.
Friday was the field trip for Maddie to the Topeka Zoo.....sadly it was so friggin muddy you could hardly do anything. Maddie went thru a tunnel on the play yard and her whole bottom half was covered. Then we were suppose to go to a park across the street and have our picnic lunch, along with about 500+ other kids on a field trip. And of course I turn around to clean Sage up and Maddie took off....scared me to death with that many kids. After that we left...not worth the stress. Thursday Kael went to the Asthma Dr who said the cough he is doing is post nasal drip so we are gonna see if a week of Zyrtec will control it. If not we will need a nasal spray too. We are down to the last week of school......Maddie has Graduation Weds and Kael only has a half day Friday. 28th we have a home inspector inspecting the GA house so we should know his report by next week. The 1st they are coming to do a assessment of our stuff to see what size truck, boxes, etc they need and they will start packing on the 7th. Hopefully I will get a video up in a few days of Sage singing/dancing. First pic is Sage and her new bed stuff....she's never had a pillow or blanket. Second is from the Zoo.

So I am saving you from pictures of My crusty eyed, snotty nose and basically miserable looking children. Sage went to ER tonight because the Quack Clinic I took her and Maddie to yesterday could not be bothered to make sure they hired qualified Dr's, nurse practitioners, etc. The Dr told us Maddie and Sage did not have anything but a cold.......So Sage was up ALL night and the left eye crusted. Maddie woke up left eye crusted ( and I saw tonight looks like right eye is starting). So Grumpy....sorry....Sage....started around around 4:30 just screaming so I showered her and tried all things to make her happy but nothing worked. I sweet oiled her ear and took off to ER.....of course when I got there she finally stopped screaming and charmed all in the ER making me look like a CRAZY lady....but its a Ear infection and pink eye. All this time Brian and the kids went to the game.....there will be others I'm sure.
Kael is still coughing but its more drainage then Asthma so I don't know what in the world has him going now....but must get him in to the Dr's this week. We have Therapy on Monday this week because he has a Field Day on Tuesday at school. Maddie missed school on Friday ( she was suppose to be snack helper so her heart was broken ). She has a field trip Friday to the Topeka KS Zoo.....they call them family days so I will be lugging all 3 with me since Kael's school gets out at 1130 that day and Brian has a crazy day......he also has a International Student Appreciation ceremony that night .....he was assigned a Field Artillery soldier from Romania at the start of school, so that will be a crazy day. I need to get kids to Dr this week...do follow ups ....see about medical records.....I really need to pull stuff off the wall and clean it good before they pack it. I did 4 loads of laundry today, trying to get rid of germs........
On the positive side ......Kael and Maddie's new school in GA is outstanding, award winning, and parent pleasing .....so I am thrilled and scared ....hope both of them are up to the standards and not too far behind. So off to fold more clothes.

Hello Deployment

So its "official"......off to Iraq he goes. We had a VTC with the CG who is in Iraq and let me tell you much respect to the guys who have to do that everyday cause it is so difficult.....there's a delay and then it goes out and the other person does not know it has gone out and they keep talking.....ugh big pain in the butt. So we leave here Graduation Day so he and the others can get ready and they will leave sometime after 4th of July.
Kael's pink eye is 100% better but now his asthma is giving us a time. So we had to break out the predisone and albutural, trying to get in to his Dr. I really need a Oxy meter thing . He gets a cough not a wheeze so Albutural does not really help just steroids. Maddie started her cold thing yesterday. We are going Saturday evening to watch The Royals play the White Sox, Mine and the kids first Major League game.
I'm off to bed, very stormy night so I'm sure little ones will wake me up soon....LOL.

So I get a call Friday from the nurse at school and she says Kael's eyes are acting up because of "allergies" so she cleaned them with Saline and sent him back to class, which would be ok but the kid has no allergies ( I should know we have had the poor kid tested twice now). But of course I get the standard response that medical people in Kansas give" even people who don't have allergies are having problems this year ". Now I'm from the south and these people don't know pollen ......come to the south, that's pollen !!
So Brian picked Kael up, they go get hair cuts and I get another call from the school, this time the librarian. She waits with the 1st grade car riders to make sure they get picked up, not hit by a car, etc. My first thought is Brian has forgotten Kael but no......she was holding a picture for Kael since he was already holding my mothers day bean pod in a can and somehow she missed Kael walking away with his daddy and she felt really bad since this was my Mothers Day gift ( along with bean pod in a can ). I love the staff his school. So Brian has to drop Kael off at Maddie's school where me and Sage are watching Maddie's Olympic Day.
So low and behold Kael is all pinky eyed, crusted over mess........yes BOTH eyes. So I speed dial the clinic and of course there are no appointments left since its already after 3pm. But they referred us out to a walk in clinic and of course it's pink eye.
He looks better today, but I think Sage might be waking up crusty eyed tomorrow. She was cranky with some eye "boogers'' earlier. Pray its not. I have gotten so many goodies....poem from Kael and a card and a bean pod in a can. Maddie made me a flower pot and tons of attitude to go with it .....she is def my Mom's revenge .....that child !!!

Yard Sale that is......and as of last night, me too. I was exhausted and then I got a rude wake up call around 4am when my leg cramped up.....I guess I stood around too much yesterday running my mouth. But at least we got rid of the Bar Brian has had since his bachelor days ( Thank God it's gone ). My friend had a yard sale too ( she is a hoarder...2 car garage and just a goat path in it ) and she got rid of tons ( yeah for her ) and made over $900 ( Holy Crap ) !!!
Today we slathered on sunscreen on the kids and went to the Kansas Sampler at the park. So much fun seeing all the state has to offer...the kids got tons of SWAG ( pens, candy, notepads,toys,water,etc) we had a severe Thunderstorm pass while we were in a tent watching a man shear a sheep with hail so after that we walked thru mud but so worth it. Off to get ready to start the week......these are from a year ago...can U believe how they change? Look at her hair....no I did not take that pic but LOL !

Be a Pee and Poop Detective

We went to the Kidney center yesterday and due to the Dr having a emergency we ended up going to the actual hospital. Very nice but its kids in the hospital which is sad and brings up alot of questions from a 5 year old girl who is ( thankfully) healthy. So the NP had a Consult with Dr who specializes in PKD and he said as long as her urine was clean and BP was normal no testing for that....Yeah.....plus in the real world that would follow her around and be a pre existing condition.....No thank you.
They are not worried about Night time wetting....maybe next year we do a alarm if it continues but she is still too young. They call her a "sensitive" bladder so we have a note for school next year so she does not have to hold her pee......plus we remind her every 2 hours to go.....we eliminate all carbonated bev except clear ones as a treat. We also go on a fiber supplement trying to get her to BM after breakfast and not at bedtime as she has been doing ( who knew U should poop in the AM only??? anyone???)
I am just glad I should not worry, its not PKD, its not low muscle tone....its normal....whew !!
Now onto the boy.....another red bear......and he did so well.....finally passed his 7 speed drills today so he got back his DS until we got back from Therapy and saw his folder was a red bear ( talking and being silly during class time) So we took EVERYTHING away and if there is anything but Green Bears from now until Field trip day he stays home with me on that day and after that he will not get to do a entry into the science fair. His Therapist wanted to know if I thought he was getting upset about moving but I don't think so he is excited to go to GA.....maybe he has overheard about Daddy Deploying again?? Who knows....hopefully this is it for Red or Yellow Bears.
Sage goes around like a maniac.....then she goes all sweet....cleaning, cooking....awwww. Tonight it was all about The Wonder Pets Ming Ming....she goes around " Thisp is Serious" ....I must get that on video...she cracks me up. Tomorrow is Parent Teacher conf with Maddie's Teacher and swim lessons for the kids. Hoping I get some Yard sale stuff done tomorrow...UGH

1) When you are fixing to move and 2) a week before your own yard sale. It was so sad.....I bought nothing ....Na Da.....Sad. I had Clean Sweep, Hoarders, etc in my head the whole time. Do you NEED it? Do you REALLY have room for it? Do you LOVE it? But I did get a great idea since I am having such hard time figuring out how to show clothes. A lady there had bought these racks ( she called them drying racks ) at Wal Mart and they held quite a bit. So we went to Wal Mart and bought all they had ( only 3 ) Hopefully I can find some more Tuesday. I also had to buy more pricing stickers but now I'm out of Hangers and tags....UGH. But everyone on post had a great day selling.....esp those that are going to Korea and Germany because get this you must cut your household goods in half ......OMG that would kill me.....even cars you can only have one.
Monday we take Maddie to the Kidney Dr.....they told me to give her lots of soda on the way there because she must give a sample and we will probably do a Kidney ultrasound to rule out PKD. I must be having sympathy for her because my right one has been screaming lately. Maddie has been riding her bike while I walk in the PM so she has done 2.5 to 3.7 miles every night.....those leg muscles are really getting a work out. I think I figured out why she had so many whiteheads on her chin and around her mouth, besides the fact that she will not wash her face but she was putting chapstick on constantly and she was covering most of her lower face.....took that stuff away ASAP. Seems to be clearing up.
Kael is really acting out......he has gotten 2 yellow bears and 1 red bear this month, after months of nothing but green bears. Mostly for talking and being silly......therapy is so so.....again not taking it seriously.....but he will not get a new bike until he can ride w/o training wheels which therapy is suppose to help with so .......He is a typical class clown....but reading he is blowing away, both teacher and therapist are giving him rave reviews.
Sage is a wild Monkey.....she blows us away with her words....Papa must have got ahold of her in heaven before she came down since he swore up and down he could not understand a word Kael or Maddie said at this age. Most of the time she seems like a old soul, taking it all in. Other times I can not keep up....she exhausts me....climbing, jumping, no fear at all. Thank God the new house is one story because she is constantly on the stairs....if she is up she wants down,if she is down she wants up.
Brian finally got his Mac.....been waiting since before Christmas for the new ones to come out. So he got nothing for our anniversary ....I on the other hand got Wii Just Dance, Liberty of London purse, and a red Wii Remote since my children can never put anything back where it goes so I spend half the time I could be working out looking a remote. Finally Good Night and have a great week.

We received some sad news today, our friends lost their unborn baby. She was over 7 months along and so happy to be having a girl. Brian got a e-mail from the "Team Leader" this afternoon that the family was requesting some private time to deal with this. I am at a lost what to do since I have never had a friend go thru this........I am hoping once this weekend is over someone will let us know. On other news half of our garage is filled with yard sale stuff......very overwhelming......plus we have tons of clothes and I have no clue how I will display them......sadly its looking like boxes. We have our dates for packers, movers and home inspections.......way its looking we will be in hotels for over a week maybe more if we can't do a point to point move. It Su*$% if you can not because they will take your stuff off the truck in GA and put it in storage until another truck can come get it ....ugh please no????? Tomorrow is the post yard sale....Kael and Maddie are going with me around 9ish.

So we made it to the Zoo......and surprise Sage loved it, esp the monkey's. Kael and Maddie have never been "into" the zoo so it was a nice surprise to actually have a good time. So back to the real world tomorrow.....lawn mowing, grocery shopping and trying to get motivated to start getting ready for my May 1st yard sale.
Next Saturday is the Post Wide Yard Sale......Waaaaa Hooooooo......hoping to find some good deals.......Mon and Weds is swim lessons, Tues is Therapy for Kael and Weds is our 7th Wedd Anniversary ......which I never remember so I gave him the card last week cause I knew it was sometime around the middle of April ...yes my memory is that bad.

So in case you missed it I hit another vehicle this week.....you know the vehicle that we will pay off next month.....you know my Mom van.....ugh. I have been kicking myself all friggin week .....I did not do any damage to SUV I hit ......just my bumper. I pulled in to the parking space and that is when I saw there was a cart half in the space ( Look lazy people put the D*** cart where it goes....don't just push it up on the curb ....) so I knew I could not fit in there between 2 cars so I backed out and did not cut the wheel sharp enough and screeeeeeeeeeeeech . Thank God she was nice and just said forget about it..........I felt sooooooooo bad......she is a foster mom to 4 kids 2 who have special needs ( 8 month old on a feeding tube and 12 month old who has fetal alcohol ) plus has 3 of her own and a foreign exchange student......OMG the guilt.
So do you think Hubby has said a thing?????? Nooooooooooo.....if he had done it I would still be riding his butt.....he would never be able to forget it but him no, not a word.....he even waited 4 days for me to finally give all the details............yes I realize I am evil....bwhahaaaaaaaa. The house is 95% done.......I am so ready to move. Sadly we have friends who still have not found a home and there are lots here who don't have orders yet.....ouch.
Tomorrow we are going to the Zoo ( hopefully) and then moving Maddie back to her room ( she can not deal with Sage she says ) I don't know what we will do about bedrooms in GA now. Night all

I am still sick......whatever it is is kicking my butt. Took Sage to the Dr Thurs and they said bronchitis for her plus she was a little dehydrated...poor kid. But she seems better as of today....Kael and Maddie still cough. Did not do the yard sale so we are looking at May 1st ......The house is coming along....got some new pictures today and the carpet and wood floors are down....only thing we could tell had not been done was bringing in some appliances. Kael went to the dentist Friday and there is a cavity in a back baby molar so we will fill it the end of the month. Wanted to post some Easter pics before bed so good night and have a great week.

Every year my kids have a cold/virus ........So I do apologize but between having In Laws this weekend, sick kids and Easter it has been a crazy week. I did get to try out some new "foods" this week.....Maple Walnut French Toast ( yummy, has to sit in the refrig all night...love those since I hate mornings) and Easter Sunday I made Sweet and Sour green beans and Sour cream and chive cream cheese mashed potatoes with the ham.
Saturday we went to the WWI museum in Kansas City and had dinner at Fritchs ( 50's type diner where your food is delivered by Train ). Sunday after Easter Bunny visited we took off for Bass Pro Shop to see the Bunny himself ( Never again, they bombard you with sale pitches....they now do Time Shares...UGH ). Sunday night I took Maddie in to ER just knowing she had Strep throat but no just a virus.
.Maddie is slowly recovering ( she missed school today since she was up ALL night coughing ). She actually coughed so much Saturday Night she vomited all over the floor and almost caught the Easter Bunny.....hmmmm. Kael is mostly over it but Sage is still giving us a run for our money.....yesterday it was 102, last night she woke at 3:30 with 103.1 this morning it was 101.
Hopefully we are on the mend from our last ( fingers crossed ) cold of this season and we all get a good nights rest.

Did I mention the subdivision is having their Yard Sale Saturday and I'm gonna try to get some stuff ready but of course having nothing done yet but it is suppose to be a beautiful day and yes I am that crazy !!!!!!!!!!

Disney On Ice

As most of ya know we are a Disney Family...Love everything Disney and Disney on Ice was no different. We loved it. First half is Mickey,Minnie car breaking down and everyone trying to help. 2nd part is Tinkerbell and the fairies.
It has been a crazy busy weekend here.....Friday we had Maddie's drive in movie at school, all the kids had to make cars out of boxes to fit in. Some parents have too much time on their hands ( pictures to come later). Then we all had to hit Kohl's 40 mins away since I got my 30% coupon this week. So we had to get all necessities because I will not get another one till Christmas time. After that it was dinner at Perkins which we did because they are touting this Kids eat free thing. I was not that impressed with the food or the savings.....maybe their breakfast is better then their dinner's?
Saturday Brian took Kael and Maddie to see Diary of a wimpy Kid. After they had a friend over for a few hours while her parents went to a fund raiser. Today I went to a Half Day Consignment sale at the speedway.....got some great deals esp for Sage....even got some outfits she can wear in the Fall in GA. Then after a Taco dinner here we took a walk on the river.....there is a 3.3 mile trail but it was closed for flooding but we got quite a good walk in.

Weds is Maddie's last day so they are doing a Easter Party and Egg hunt.....we are suppose to send in plastic eggs filled with either candy or toys with the kids names written on them, should be fun. Kael's Last day is Thursday and we are sending in 4 Doz hard boiled eggs for something Norwegian???? In laws get here Thursday night to visit this weekend so it should be a busy week.

David ( our agent) said he'll go back every 7 to 10 days and get me pics so I can see the progress......l. Pray all that we still have left to do ( inspection, appraise and closing )

Bad news is some time this month kids broke our Wii Balance board so it must go to Nintendo Hospital for hopefully a short stay.....and this will cost the kids $50 .....sadly now my Mii weighs 6 lbs so any exercise I do I get calorie burn for a 6lb person......30 minute run today and it says wow you burned 7 calories please slow down we are concerned for your health......hmmm. It was a beaut here today 60+ and sunny......opened those windows......until my kids screaming and yelling disturbs the neighbors...night all.

Man this week dragged and flew, which seems impossible but its not. I spent Tues, Weds and Thurs going from one house to another and it was totally overwhelming. It was exhausting trying to listen, write, ask questions and take pics. And some of the homes........OMG.......but We think we are done. Now all the fun starts........paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork. Oh and lets not forget.........lots of money!!!! I thought the pollen in GA was kicking my butt but I have a full blown cold, or maybe all the drainage and gunk caused this in my chest....who knows? While I was gone.....Kael spun himself silly and fell into the coffee table busting his head. Poor Brian got to experience my Murphy's Law since he had taken the van apart to clean it so while Kael is holding a bloody cloth to his head Brian had to put the Van back together, get the other 2 ready and find the ER....all the while he forget his wallet with his ID .....LOL. But all was good they had Kael in the system because well you know he's Kael and he must visit every stinkin ER in the US before he turns 18. And to prove what a small town this is, the nurse remembered Kael....LOL.

Last night it started snowing and it is still snowing....what a way to welcome spring? We did make it to our Disney on Ice show tonight......wonderful show. So everyone goes back to school Monday and hopefully some normalcy.

and I am as ready as I can be. Don't talk much about it ....still very, very hard to leave the kiddo's. Kael and Maddie have been told.......don't really know how much Maddie "gets" but I'm sure they will be fine. I think I will be the worse....esp since I am a See the glass as half empty type person. I always think the worst will happen ( history has not been kind on that one ). Hopefully I don't cry in front of them : (

Everyone is on "spring break" here.....Maddie's class was having class on Monday but since they have to have me at the Airport @2pm and she gets out @3pm and the airport is a hour away ....well you see the math? Kael got his feelings hurt Friday....I wish you could have seen his face when I was in the carpool lane....1st graders have a teacher who stays outside to make sure they all get their rides.....well she walked him over to the car mouthing she did not what was wrong with him. So he gets in and the tears start.........seems another boy brought a Planets book to school and it was bigger then the one Kael brought to school so the teacher let the other boy show his ( this is all Kael's story so take it with a grain of salt ).

Sage is just a friggin manic .....she never stops and she talks all the time and you can understand her and she understands you....and she amazes me everyday. Maddie has been on a "therapy" kick lately.....push ups, running and most everything Kael does......again she amazes me with the energy.....Wow. I am slacker mom....no thank you cards have been done, I still have to grocery shop tomorrow and I forgot to make Appts for Kael's teeth cleaning so hopefully I get something done in the next 36 hours.....maybe???

$97 for a rental car but they want $45 for a GPS .......this will be fun. Thank Goodness I get unlimited miles cause I will get lost but at least when we move there I will know where everything is....LOL. So everything is done....flight,hotel and car. Trying to work out like a banshee since the only exercise I will get next week will be walking.....but at least my room has a refrig for my diet Dr pepper. We had Kael's Musical concert tonight.....they were all so good ( pics to come ) It has been so warm here ......come on spring. Did ya'll hear about Cory Haim.....shocking....so young ! Bowling was fun .....kinda like chasing a bunch of drunk little people......first 15-20 mins they are actually bowling but then they wanna run,chase, climb, throw a couple of fits . I was so glad the other parents were there ......they were a HUGE help.....again wrangling a bunch of drunk little people. Would I do it again??? In a heart beat......I have had too many "at Home" Parties and that is soooooooo much worse.
Tomorrow we get Pictures done and dinner at T rex .........and hopefully we squeeze some shoe shopping in there for Boy Child. Guess what I was doing before this......heat bonding not one but two children' s winter coats........If you have not heat bonded .....go now to Wal Mart and buy some...it is my life saver....I don't sew and even thought my Wonderful MIL gave me a antique one to learn on I have yet to have the nerve to try. Back to the coats....Friday it was warm so all children went out to play ........and came back a muddy mess.....so after washing both coats ripped and we don't have much winter left so I refuse to buy more.
It has been a beautiful 2 days here....windows open .......come on Spring !!! Can U believe we still have snow???? As far as houses.......so friggin overwhelmed .....plus I am trying to read Home buying for dummies so my brain is frying .....you people who have bought multiply homes I don't know how you do it......after awhile it all meshes together.....ugh.
So Tuesday at Vision Therapy they hooked Kael up to a computer to measure his eye movements and he is reading at a 4th grade level......ummmm WOW. But he does not comprehend all that he reads so they wanted us to switch him to chapter books and start asking more questions after he reads it. She is also very pleased at how well he is now doing....Thats all Daddy's help....after I got hit on the head with the duck/pigeon stick I was done with helping.
Well I have a list to do for our Realtor so I am off....Ya'll have a great weekend !! I will post more pics this week even if I don't have time to write !!

But at least they are just colds and not all the stomach bugs going around. Sage is runny nose, Maddie is runny nose and Kael is asthma cough. He needed Cough suppressant for bed time so if its not a producing cough Tomorrow We will have to break out the predisone.
Finally got thru the 54 houses the new Realtor e mailed us this week.....not even 12 hours later his assistant sent us a better floor plan on one we liked....one we liked had been sold Friday and another the people decided to rent it .....but she is still working on more.
The dinner party was fun and I get my machine in 5 days yeah......I tried to get the kids in for swim lessons in March but I thought I missed the deadline but I can not even find their classes on the roster so I will need to call about that. I have to wait till midnight to sign up for April's. I will be flying in to Ga middle of the month while Brian is on Spring Break....he will get 3 days alone with all 3 so pray for him and them....LOL.
Maddie will have her 5th birthday party Saturday...she has a Hannah Montana Cake and we have to go get her "big girl" bike this week. Also need to schedule her portraits maybe for Sunday.....we have the outfits....Hope everyone has a great week !!!

Sage Loves her Kai-Lain......We watch it at least 3 times a day and as you can see, her eyes never leave the TV. She even knows the Characters name. Just wanted to quick update before bed.
We went to The Marble Factory for a field trip today. We got to see Glass Blowing and how sand becomes glass and how loooooooooooooooooooooooong it takes to make 1 Marble. The retail store was great.....lots of oldies but goodies.....I def want to go back as a family and not a thousand kids, J/K.
We switched agents for our new house.....the old guy was just not on the ball and very slow. Our new guy has already called and e mailed us and sent a PKG in the mail. So hopefully we can get this ball rolling.
Tomorrow night is our Salad Master Dinner Party....so excited because 7 Days after that I get my big honking Salad Master Machine ( I Loooooove Salad Master ). So as you can guess I have a lot of cleaning to do tomorrow so off to bed I go !!
Oh I forgot ....We hit Target after Vision Therapy yesterday and The Easter Basket Stuffing stuff ( just like Stocking Stuffer stuff ) was awesome ....I must get there soon w/o kids ; )

Lemon Chicken

Head on over to Smockity Frocks Crock pot Recipes Carnival for some great ideas to use in those crock pots. I am giving you my super easy Lemon Chicken.

2 to 3 lbs of Skinless/boneless chicken breasts
1 tsp oregeno
Season salt and pepper
4 tbls of real butter
1/2 cup water
6 TBSP Lemon Juice
4 Minced Garlic Cloves
2 Tsp Chicken Bouillon granules

Sprinkle Oregno, Season Salt and pepper all over Chicken. Brown the chicken in the butter in a skillet. Transfer chicken to Crock pot. To the skillet add your water, lemon juice, garlic and Bouillon. Bring mixture to a boil and pour over chicken in crock pot. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours or low 4 to 5 hours. Baste your chicken 30 mins before serving. Enjoy

So we started with 42 and have gotten rid of 8, most of those because of pools but 1 was just oh my gosh ugly !!! So I have to get together a list for the Realtor because at least 7 were new construction and I could not tell anything from floor plans online, so hopefully we can get those mailed to us this week. Others we just need more pics or info but its the first week so at least we are on track. Maddie is still coughing but not enough to disturb her sleep or keep her home.
Sage is still snotty and 2 teeth are coming in. We did pull out the potty yesterday but she is not really interested must show her the videos and DVD's....LOL. Kael is know listed as reading at a second grade level and has passed his 6's in speed drills..both OT and Vision therapist are pleased with his progress.
It started snowing ( again ) between now until Monday AM we are suppose to get 6+ inches. Maddie's Birthday Invites went out and we already have 4 RSVP's so she is very excited. I need to get working on a cake and what kind of bike she wants. Time is flying.

So Maybe we are getting better? I am not gonna Jinx myself this time !!! But it has been 2 days and no Dr's so yeah for us !!! In other news we have gotten pre approved for our Mortgage and we have a Realtor so hopefully by Spring Break there will be lots of homes for me to go look at. Hopefully we will be under contract by April 30th to qualify for the $8000 first time home buyers credit. We have almost a 30 mile area to look at between Ft Stewart and Richmond Hills area. We are looking forward to getting all this done .....Kael is now finally excited we will be near a ocean ( he thinks he will be at the beach everyday ) Maddie is more concerned about her "friends" . Right now our big concern is Schools since we will have 2 in the system now ( can U believe it?????????? )
I did get her invitations today so hopefully they will get passed out Weds at school....

Sorry but I have been saying that alot. Got Sage to the Dr today after nights of torture for me and the rest of the house ( mainly Maddie ) as she screams her head off because Motrin wears off in 8 hours .....UGH !!! She has a double ear infection and sinus infection and they thought strep but the figured out it was just irritation from all the infection draining from her head. The Dr was not happy with them giving her Liquid albutral last week for a cough and saying her ear was a little pink but not nothing to treat.....esp with no follow up. Kael has the "asthma" cough going on but oh my goodness the smell coming out of that boys mouth ( and I have smelled death ) so gonna try to get him to ped tomorrow after school because that has to be a sinus infection ( yes he brushed his teeth ). He lost another tooth tonight......Tooth Fairy has been, He says Hello. And not to leave her out.....Dearest Middle child did not go to school today since she could not eat her lunch in time.....we are completely clueless as to how to deal with her. She has Teeth problems and Low muscle tone issues and she does chew slower then a cow chewing its cud but the therapist say it should not hinder her as much as it does......during the meals I feel like she is milking it and I could pull out everyone of my hairs but what if shes not ???? Do I give up, let her eat what she can in the time she is giving and just give nutritional shakes or Veggie juices? Today it was a issue of Chewing and swallowing a clemintine orange ? Usually its meat....she will chew it forever !!! Can you tell I am exhausted? Hopefully this made some sense because I am off to bed....night

Super Bowl Party?

I think ( hope) we are ready. They are calling for snow tomorrow, starting at noon with the heaviest @ 5pm.....great. I already pre chopped my chili fixin's, Quadruple Chocolate brownies are done, tortilla pinwheels are made and chillin, spinach dip done and 70 Buffalo chicken meatballs are made.....whew.
Kael started with his Asthma "cough" tonight so I upped his flovent and gave him some stuff for his runny nose, please pray we caught it early enough for no predisone or Dr visit. Sage is still coughy but she really has a time at night, we have been giving her Motrin and those homeopathic ear drops for ear pain. Have a feeling she will be going back to Dr.
I am loving looking at houses on the internet ......really helps with deciding what we don't want in a home......but I really love those Granite counter tops, oh yeah and a open kitchen....LOL. Have a great Super Bowl Sunday and Geaux Saints......Who Dat !!!!!

99% sure we have Ft Stewart Ga as our new home in July......by March we will be 100% sure. We had Vision Therapy today and she was very thrilled with how he is progressing. On other notes we need help getting him to learn the value of a dollar......Bambi said there was a guy on Oprah so if any of you watch Oprah and saw this please please let me know. I have done NO cleaning for the Party Sunday.....hoping to start some tomorrow......still have food to buy and prep. They are calling for Snow Thursday night into Friday and then again Monday.

Maddie still coughing not as much but still there. Sage is hacking up lungs and getting runny/stuffy nose. Brian actually had a free afternoon so she stayed home today. I bought Kael 3 pair of jeans at Old navy hopefully these last at least a month. Brian figured we will be 5.5 hours away from my hometown so hopefully this will perk/cheer my Granny up.......Great Grand Children are good for that.

Proof she is freakishly strong Baby

The little daredevil proving how strong she is. Thankfully we all seem to be on the final stretch of this yucky respiratory mess. Kael is still going strong with Therapy, he got a balance board to take home this week so he is more then happy to do "ball" therapy. He also got a Ipod Nano this week....saved up his money and he has been quite happy for the past 2 days. His school celebrated Kansas B day party Friday and he made a candle, corn husk doll, yarn doll and got to see soldiers, native Americans and prairie children.
Maddie did finally make it to school Friday and they had a smaller celebration for Kansas B Day. She is letting her hair grow out finally but she wants me to get her Pokemon stuff for her Birthday Party. Ummmm no, nope, not gonna happen......She has picked bowling for her party over the Movies.....I am so shocked but oh well its not my party. Gotta get them to Target to pick out the Valentines day cards before they all get picked over.
We are now gearing up for our super bowl party....trying new stuff so let the stress begin. The kids also start swim lessons Monday so say a couple of extra prayers for them.

Friday we took Maddie to the Dr and found out she probably has pneumonia. So we got a X ray and some antibiotics, they are suppose to call Monday with the results of the X ray......since we were there we got Sage some shots.....poor kid had no clue what was coming....4 of them at one time. She has been extremely grumpy since she is mostly muscle on her legs so it hurt. Maddie is coughing up her lungs....I keep asking if it hurts but she says no. Mine hurts.....feels like a elephant sitting on my chest. We are extremely proud of Kael, he got his Report Card this week and he is doing outstanding in reading....plus spelling but not so much handwriting but we knew that hence why we are doing so much friggin therapy these days. But just looking at his work this week his OT is doing wonders for him....taking his time and actually neater work has shown up so again.....WE ARE SO PROUD....ok sorry I'm done. Sorry there are no pics but I have taken none this week....between running everywhere and now the sickness I am beat.....hopefully I will do better this week.

Day 1 of Vision Therapy

We practiced following the ball with just our eyes.....not moving our head....they use a special tool, we will use a pencil at home. We covered one eye with a patch while we did eye charts. We are learning rhythm ....esp how to keep a beat or skip a beat when told. We batted a ball on a string alternating hands and trying to catch with either fingertips, palms or fists. We came home with a patch and our own ball on a string to work on all week.
One of his biggies is if you throw something at him he closes his eyes and ducks......it is something about depth perception so working on that is a biggie to get his confidence back. We also have some computer games on line to help. She wanted me in the room today to watch what she does which was quite fun with the other 2....LOL...Miss Sage was not Happy. I am hoping a later time becomes available soon but we had to get this started sooner then later. Since we had to drive 45 mins there we hit Costco afterwards....where I scored Maddie a Speedo Swimsuit for $12 ....the boy child has had another growth spurt so we are having to watch his pants since some are now high waters.

Finally a full week with no new snow

Now we still have snow ( not as much thank goodness ) but its been sooooo nice with no new snow falling. Both kids had a full week of school.....Kael got presented a award for reading 25 books this period, he passed his 3's in speed drills (finally) and he has passed January sight words. Maddie had 2 classmates move during Christmas break, she is working on N's and is driving me slowly insane ( LOL ).
Sage is Sage, keeping us all on our toes !!!! She did finally get her H1N1 this week and she is cutting a molar which was pure H*#$ for my sleeping until I started giving her Motrin before bed and then of course friggin Motrin was recalled but thankfully now we got some generic from target so hopefully all will get back to normal.
Kael starts his Vision Therapy on Tuesday so I look forward to see what they are going to do. We are hoping the FA guys will be here 2nd to 4th of February to see where we go next. We have been trying to get Maddie and Kael interested in the earthquake in Haiti but they are so young and its still hard for them to wrap their head around, but we keep trying !!! Heck I think its still hard for us adults to fathom all that destruction and death....just heartbreaking !!!
So Pioneer Woman's Chicken Fried steak......how in the world does that woman do it all???? This is a very time consuming dish, maybe special occasions ? But it was tasty, very very filling, and I would make it again ( but only on special occasions...LOL ). So this week its Meatloaf....Have a great Holiday Weekend !!!

Vision Therapy

We had his tests done on Thursday and he scored poorly on most which means 25 weeks of Therapy. They wanted to do 40 but we will not be here for 40 more weeks so after 25 they will evaluate and see if they need to send us to another place at our next Duty Station.We will start on the 19th. Maddie has still not gone back to school and Kael only went 1.5 days last week. Thankfully they are not calling for any snow next week and one day will get above freezing. I don't think we will ever get rid of this snow. The kids will now be taking swim lessons on Mon and Weds next Month, wonder where I can buy bathing suits in January???
Sage ( otherwise Known as Freakishly strong Baby) still continues to amaze us....she climbs everything, gets into everything esp the fridge and china cabinet and her words are so clear ( Papa would have been happy since he could not understand the other 2 for years....LOL).
This week we are making Pioneer Womans Chicken fried steak.....arteries around the world just clogged....LOL. Ya'll enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Still Snowing

So Cranberry Juice and H2O seem to be working for Maddie. It started snowing here about 1030 and I got all the way to Maddie's school ( her first day back ) and everyone was walking out. Your right they canceled it....think they could have decided that say a hour earlier??? Brian got Kael out when he was done...Kael said he was the first taken out of his class which is strange since the post was shutting stuff down but to each his own.
They have already canceled his school tomorrow. Brian goes in with a 2 hour delay and we still have Kael's eye appt tomorrow.

So Cowboy Calzone.......its yummy but mine were sure not as pretty as Pioneer Woman's, LOL. Kael really enjoyed them, he is obsessed with anything pizza like these days. One of my best friends growing up lost her father this week and every time it makes me reflect on how many people have come and gone in my life and the little footprints they leave on me. His was ritz crackers dipped in BBQ sauce...man those were good.
So give hugs and lots of luv cause life is short.

I must be living in Alaska or upper state NY because it never flippin stops......which ok after awhile and 10 inches of snow still on the ground you stop caring but when it is constantly below zero it gets a little annoying. So you scrappers.....I used my cricut....finally after 2 years I used it.....now it took forever to actually get the paper to cut with all the stupid dials and all and I might have cut the mat a couple of times and the first 6 times I pushed cut there was no blade in the machine but I used my cricut. Whew....and the Thank you cards are made just drying and we are done.

I got Maddie a appt with the Kidney Dr @ children's Mercy for March 17th, I know right but specialist are busy. But it worked out because Brian will have spring break then. She is either the most unlucky girl or a Hypochondriac .....4 days ago we started itching ( down there ) so I cut out bathes etc.....now she leaks urine which we can not figure out if its because she is scared to use the bathroom downstairs and will not stop playing to the very last minute so then she must run upstairs with a full bladder or not? So I will be pushing H2O and cranberry juice tomorrow in hope that it will fix the problem or problems.
Hopefully Kael goes back to school tomorrow but Kansas City is closing its schools tomorrow because of the high only being 10. He is ready......he really needs structure and a schedule to follow so when he doesn't get those for awhile you can tell a difference plus I am very excited for him to get back into OT. Opening Christmas gifts from extended Family on Christmas Eve

Our White Christmas Eve

No resolutions here....who needs them??? My GOAL'S are to get Fit, become a better person, Become more patient, and to stop caring what others think. I am sure there are more but those are my biggies.

I made fresh collard greens today ( not like a southerner LOL ) but these were healthy and delish. Of course we also had Black eye peas ( I put a little too many Jalapeno's in those but still yummy ) and ham. Brian and the kids made me a Birthday Cake for desert and a good time was had by all. I got some great cookbooks for my Birthday and to help make the kids thank you cards I am gonna bust out the Cricut tomorrow ( I have never used it but got it for Christmas 2 years ago....how sad) .

Kael does not go back to school till Tuesday, Brian on Monday and Maddie on Weds so a very strange week ahead. I need to get Maddie a appt made with the children hospital about the bed wetting on Monday and I got to check on the 2nd dose of H1N1 for the kids....its due on the 4th.

New Year, New Look, New Changes

I am trying different things with the blog...moving things, updating my favs, adding new things and trying to figure it all out. I have been given some great ideas from fellow bloggers on how to make it look better and for it to be easier to navigate ( Thanks Guys ). If you have some ideas please let me know.

Now on to other things......Kael had his 3 month Asthma Checkup today and all is good. He also had a couple of vials of blood drawn to have those allergy tested. Dr said they like to wait till they are 7 ( why? ) but he went ahead and did it, we should know those results in 2 weeks. We have had Snow,Snow Snow and More Snow. I am tired of snow ( that is all )

Sage's Sinus Infection appears better ( at least she is not waking me up twice a night anymore). Last night was her first night sleeping all the way thru in 2 months. On other news Maddie woke me up @ 0530 yesterday ( lovely). One day I will get some REM sleep I just know it.

These are from the Mall where we went to Santa ( Overland Park Mall ). They also have a 2 story Carousel in the middle of the mall. So Hopefully we will go back when it is not the last week before Christmas and we don't have a stroller for Sage.

Sorry the pics are bad but the flash drowned them out and they were in constant motion. I would love to have Maddie on that every week, she has lost so much muscle tone since we left PT/OT.....I need to order Moon Shoes and make her work.

Santa has been and left plenty of goodies. All of us have already been spoiled with gifts from Aunt Bambi, Papa, Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Dirk. We are smack in the middle of the worst Blizzard my southern self ( Have I said lately how I miss you East Coast??????) has ever seen but as long as the power survives we are good. The Pulled tooth....as of today the perm has shown up already

The Russian Nutcracker Tuesday was beautiful....they did a outstanding job. The Army has a complaint system called ICE and when the Chinese Acrobats were here in October people complained because they were assigned seats ( My kids couldn't see, I wanted a aisle seat,blah blah etc). So the last 2 events held in this auditorium have been first come first serve......now common sense says if you are doing that you must have ushers to tell people "move it down" because everyone always leaves a spot between them and the next person....so needless to say the first 2 levels were "full" and we ended up in the balcony but all was good. We got to see without any heads in our way and we ended up sitting next to girl from Maddie's Ballet class. And Of course my girl had to have a "real" Nutcracker ( Ouch ).

Wednesday we had the meeting with the school's OT for Kael. She has high hopes he will be writing better by the end of the year. She will be working with him 30 mins twice a week. We also have to take him to a special eye doctor for Learning related vision problems. Friday was the last day of school so I sent Kael to school with his treats for his classmates, treats for his "other" teachers and his gift for his Teacher ( Giftcard ). The kid came home with his Teachers gift still in his backpack.....He forgot......the most important gift he forgets...ohhhh I am still horrified. So I sent her a email ( but of course its her school account and schools over ) hoping to get it to her before Christmas but ohhhhh I'm so embarrassed . Friday was also the day I had to bake Baby Jesus a cake.....I always get nervous when I must make something for other people and there is no way I can test it first ......I mean this is for Baby Jesus ....can there be any more pressure????? Supposedly it was good and they had fun blowing out the candles for him ( Maddie said he could not come down from Heaven for this.....you know he is busy up there).

Hopefully we get to Santa tomorrow and some more shopping done ......hope Ya'll do too !!

Maddie did good at the dentist, No cavities. But Thankfully the Ped dentist agreed that the front upper crowns need to come out since they still abcess and he wants to protect the permanent teeth. So we loose 2 crowns/caps (whatever they want to call them) and keep 4 on bottom and the 2 upper incisor so she can honestly sing "all I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth". When we told Kael He says Why do all the silver teeth people get a break? I had to tie floss to my tooth and have it yanked out.....I can not wait till she tells him what happened to her..So please say a prayer for her Monday @ 11 central time that all goes well. I'm off....I can feel a cold coming in my chest or maybe its the below zero temps here.....Oh how I miss you East Coast !!!!

Will it never go away ? They say we ended up with 11 inches but I say more. We are slowly melting though. Maddie ended up @ the Dr Thursday and they are gonna keep her on the Zrytec for a year since she is doing so well on it. As far as Bed Wetting she says she is still young ansd they usually don't worry about it until they reach a more "social" age but she did give me a referral to a specialist at Childrens Mercy to see what they think and say about it. I'm still thinking about maybe getting the alarm from Amazon....the reviews on there were outstanding for it. Thursday Night Kael's tooth was finally pulled free...LOL....he bit into something and he was in "so much pain" so I told him about Papa tying dental floss around our teeth and tying the other end to a door knob and slaming the door and the tooth would fly out....So he was willing. I tied it and Brian slammed it and out it came. We are all very happy now even if he does talk with a lisp and spit on everything. I scored a Zhu Zhu starter kit for Maddie tonight thanks MommySnacks tweeting the link. I also spent 30 mins driving around the parking lot at Costco which was funny since it was not that crazy inside. Maddie goes to the Dentist Monday Morning and we have the Nutcracker Tuesday night ( I hope she enjoys it ) ...this is also the last week of school and WE HAVE GOT TO GET TO SANTA ....Whew ya'll have a great weekend !!

Bed Wetting 101

As I sit here it is snowing again. We got 7+ inches early today and now we get more with possible Blizzard conditions tomorrow due to severe winds plus it will be a low of +5 .....brrr. Kael was out of school today and Maddie was suppose to have a dr appt but the Dr could not make it in from Kansas City ( I don't know why cause they got no friggin snow ????) South of us had sleet only until now. So Maddie goes Thursday to hopefully get a Script for Zrytec and for us to talk about her bed wetting. I don't know what is going on....I hate to say she is lazy since she is a low muscle tone child but we gave her no fluids since 3 ozs at 6pm dinner and i even made her void after teeth brushing and 5 mins later she had peed in the pull up??????? So I will be doing some serious research this week. Sage went to the Dr Monday and I was told she has a ginormus head and get this .......SO DO I !!!!! WTH ....yes they measured my head since it has to be genetic so not only did Kael get those ears from my side ( Thanks Dad ) but I am responsible for Sage's big head !!! I tell you it is a sign of intelligence ..... . Other then that she is at a 3 year old level on her developments and height is 92% weight is 88% ....yes yes head off the friggin charts. And just so I can round out with all 3 kids .....Kael's tooth still has not fallen out ....UGH !! Off to make our Christmas Card.

Last night was the Fort's tree lightning and it was soooo cold. They lit the whole park...lights wrapped around everything that did not move. The houses around the park are beautiful old homes that were decorated beautifully and I will go back and get pics when there is not a screaming toddler with me. Yes Sage is sick with head cold so she is a unhappy camper 24/7 ( just kidding...its just when she lays down or has to stand out in 24 degree temps ) I can't wait to see the pics from last night esp the ones with Father Christmas where she was screaming her head off...LOL. We also got our H1N1 vac yesterday....except Sage who can't while she is sick....Kael and Maddie will have to get 2nd dose in 30 days. Maddie was suppose to go see Christmas Carol Friday ( those that follow twitter or Facebook I think I said Nut Cracker but I was wrong....too much Christmas on the brain ) but it was canceled since the class on Thursday were scared out of their mind !!!! Her Christmas Program is Monday Night and she is very excited about the singing.....I know we can video tape but I am not sure about pics since it is in the Sanctuary and at night ( plus Maddie's little Boyfriend Aiden has done said he is not getting up there ....period....not gonna happen ...LOL ) Kael's tooth is still hanging on.....and you can see the permanent tooth is trying to come thru ...its all swollen.....but it hurts to pull it so what are you gonna do???? Sage is a Monster....she climbs on everything and in everything....as you can see from the pics...she is stuck under the chair.....she also climb's in the dryer .....PRAY for her...Both Kael and Maddie had surgery @ 18 months.....Kael broken elbow and Maddie had her teeth done ....Lets pray Sage is different. She has a Check up Monday and Maddie has a Dr appt this week to see about getting her perm on the zrytec ( she has done wonderfully ). Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

I know....how bad am I??? Sorry.......but we had a good Thanksgiving.......long drive though. Very Long....extremely long...can U tell I'm still recovering? But we are back to Normal....tree is up....no decorations but it is up. Brian got the Light up train up outside.....all the Fall stuff is ready to be dragged to the curb....the pumpkins really held up well being up over a month and all. It has been warm but that ends tonight....figures we have a 2 hour tree lightning Friday and its suppose to be 32 as a high. Maddie has a christmas program Friday.....Kael gets out of school early that day....Saturday he has a B-day Party ....I have got to get some shopping done...I am so behind on that stuff. I have to get 2 dozen cookies ready for Maddies Play on Monday night ...whew....Ya'll enjoy the rest of your week.

Got those done tonight.....they are now drying and hopefully will make it into the mail Monday. Kael had a good open house.....Friday he came home with a award for Knowing his December Sight words ( yep already a month ahead ). Monday Maddie has her Fall Party ( she is in charge of the cheese cubes ) and her school pics will be in for me to buy ......of its gonna be bad !!! Tuesday Kael has his Fall Party and since they have been reading Stone Soup in class they are gonna make stone soup in class and everyone will bring in a half of a cup of something to add to the crock pot. There is a group of Soldiers that will be graduating in Dec so we get a different group in Jan .....but some have arrived and are arriving so its exciting....Kael got a new girl in his class on Friday. We are leaving here on Weds Am for our 9 hour drive to IN for Thanksgiving. I will try to post new pics before We leave......these are from Last year this time....but was she not ADORABLE?????

Monday we had snow.....only a dusting but it excited the kids. Tuesday Maddie had dance and yes I had to buy new shoes ( I do not know who would keep one slipper but more power to them ). I got Maddie and I tickets to The Russian Ballet's Nutcracker on the 15th on post. Today got Sage a haircut before I made her blind as PaPa would say......LOL.....Got a Pkg of Goodies off to NC ( BTW....I went to a mail a pkg place not post office and Fed ex and UPS were both under $20 to get this Pkg there but USPS wanted $34 are you friggin kidding me ........make sure you check before U mail pkgs this Christmas ) and we get our house inspected tomorrow so I have been cleaning and for some reason I got a itch to be creative ( don't know why but I'll U know If I do anything.....LOL )

Food Poisoning...........can U believe it? Like we have not been thru enough? But early Sunday it hit Kael, then Daddy, and last but not least me !!!!!!!!! Sunday was a wash.......with Maddie playing Nurse, gopher and maid...........poor kid....But it could have been worse.....like a bug that hits all 5 of us ............Please no ! So as of 36 hours later Daddy is 100% and returning to work, I am 75% better just sore as all get out and weak, and poor Kael is 25% better..........no activity, he just lays around drinking water from his med cup ..........but they are off school Weds so a extra day to recover. Diary of a Wimpy Kid Costume ( Daddy did the poster, talented Huh? )
I just got a e-mail from Toys R Us saying the "big" toy this year Zhu Zhu ( a toy hamster ) is going to be there and each store will only get 50 so U must be in line before the store opens.....blah blah blah.....its a little early to start this nonsense. Yes I want this for Maddie ( it is flippin cute with all the tubes you can buy just like a real one but it does not die, stink, need to be feed or anything ) but I am not gonna go stand in line before Black Friday....Nope not gonna happen!! Yesterday we were @ the Dr for Maddie.....day 8 of this cold.....still coughing/vomiting and then Friday she did not wanna eat, etc. So again ear infection but they are putting her on Zrytec to hopefully control the post nasal drip and keep her dry .......we go back after Thanksgiving for a re check and she says if the ear infections continue we will be referred off post to a ENT .....Yes again ....its a cycle ..........I don't hold out hope since the last ENT said it is useless to put tubes in a child over 4 and under 6, esp with Maddie being a mouth breather, low muscle tone,Etc. But as long as they keep referring us I'll try ....can't hurt. Sage is still snotty but shes such a good baby she just deals with it ............give me a pacifer and I'm happy. Kael had no school Friday ......he is out of Judo.....there are too many kids and the instructors are stretched to thin.....so we are thinking Jujuitsu, swimming,or who the heck knows.
